Taijutsu (hand-to-hand combat)
| Kamae | 9th Kyuu — Hira, hira ichimonji, ichimonji, nageuchi, doko no kamae (jōdan and chūdan). 8th Kyuu — Seiza, suwarigata, senban, tora no kamae. |
| Taihen Jutsu | 9th Kyuu — Happō sabaki, zenpō ukemi, ushiro ukemi. 8th Kyuu — Happō tobi, ten-chi tobi, yoko ukemi, hira kaiten, mae kaiten. |
| Mutō Dori | 9th Kyuu — Use kamae, sabaki and ukemi to evade basic unarmed and armed attacks. 8th Kyuu — Use tobi and kaiten to evade basic unarmed and armed attacks. |
| Dakentai Jutsu | 9th Kyuu — Tsuki: jodan, chudan, gedan. Keri: zenpo and koho geri. Ukeru: jodan and gedan. 8th Kyuu — Tsuki: oi, gyaku, kizami. Keri: sokuho (lateral) geri. Ukeru: deflect blows with the palm of the hand or the forearm. |
